Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health in Minnedosa is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Acute unit. The successful candidate will practice within the CLPNM scope of practice and adhere to established policies.

The role requires current CLPNM licensure (or eligible), BCLS and ACLS/TNCC credentials, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong organizational and communication skills to work with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active practicing licensure with CLPNM or eligible for active licensure with CLPNM
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as delineated in Prairie Mountain Health Policy
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and Internet applications
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider (P) and Renewal (R)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
• Demonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge and competence of skills and concepts related to the position
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Ability to respect and promote confidentiality
• Ability to perform duties regularly
• Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
• Ability to work effectively with co-workers and interdisciplinary team
• Satisfactory employment record

Position Summary

Consistent with the vision, mission and values of the Prairie Mountain Health sites, and affiliate sites, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Licensed Practical Nurses recognize and fulfill their Professional responsibilities by practicing within the scope of practice of the Licensed Practical Nurses Act, the approved College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) Scope of Practice and Entry Level Competencies, provincial and federal legislation and within the guidelines of professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), or eligible for active practicing licensure with the (CLPNM)

• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
