A healthcare organization in Alberta is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in a state-of-the-art facility in High Prairie. Candidates must have completed a nursing program and be registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta. In northern Alberta’s Big Lakes County, the Town of High Prairie offers proximity to outdoor activities and local education options. Opened in 2017, the High Prairie Health Complex features 30 acute care beds, obstetrics and surgical programs, emergency and outpatient departments, and a full suite of healthcare services. The attached JB Wood Continuing Care Centre has 67 beds. A Remote Retention Allowance provides an annual maximum of $3,000 (non-pensionable, hourly payable at basic rate).
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
