Covenant Health's St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose, Alberta is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join Unit 5 Surgery.

You will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care in a 24‑bed orthopedic and general surgery setting, collaborating with physicians, nurses and allied staff. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will apply your nursing knowledge and critical thinking to support postoperative patients, while maintaining compassionate communication with families.

Qualificações

• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses in Alberta.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Unit 5 is a 24 bed Orthopedic and General Surgery Unit which will challenge you and strengthen your nursing skills and efficiency. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN practices to full scope, applying professional nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to support safe care and positive health outcomes. Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills required. Excellent assessment and organizational skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Surgical experience an asset. C-Spine training and advanced wound care experience an asset.
