An established industry player in healthcare seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join their interprofessional team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional healthcare team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Current NRP certification preferred. Recent NICU experience within past year preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform physical assessments. Ability to work well with team members. Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to prioritize tasks and apply critical thinking. Parent teaching and integrating family-centered care into practice. Fluent in spoken and written English. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must work to full scope of practice, including IV initiation certification. Breastfeeding course preferred. Basic computer skills required.
