Job Information

The Tlicho Community Services Agency (TCSA) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Long Term Care Facility in Behchok''. As an LPN, you will provide hands‑on nursing care to residents living with chronic illness, disability, or cognitive impairment, supporting their comfort, dignity, and independence. Under the guidance of the Clinical Care Coordinator, you will assist with daily living activities, medication administration, wound care, and care planning, while promoting culturally safe and person‑centred care. This role includes collaborating with care aides, families, and interdisciplinary teams to meet each resident's individual health and wellness goals.

The successful candidate will work as part of a close‑knit team delivering 24/7 care in a home‑like environment that values both Tlicho and non‑Tlicho knowledge, in line with the TCSA's vision of being "Strong Like Two People." You will also contribute to resident safety, quality improvement, mentorship, and staff coordination. Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

  • Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
  • Completion of a pharmacology course which includes medication administration.

Labour Market Supplement

The successful incumbent will receive a $12,000 supplement upon hire and an additional $12,000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months. This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions.

Term Position

This job opening is for a one (1) Year Term.
