Job summary

Safeway Canada is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our national pharmacy team. You will perform authorized technician duties, including prescription processing, documentation, and patient record checks, while upholding safety and quality standards.

As a regulated professional, you’ll collaborate with clinicians to ensure accurate dispensing and patient-centric care across our communities.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.
• Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies.
• Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions.
• Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions.
• Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
