Job summary

Oscar Wylee is seeking a Licensed Optician to dispense prescriptions and assist customers through the frame selection process at our Bramalea City Centre store in Brampton. You will conduct pre-testing activities and support billing and claims with third parties.

You will join a fast-paced retail team, leveraging training to learn eyewear trends, with opportunities for career progression and management roles as you build strong customer relationships, time management and adaptability, including

Qualifications

• Must hold a provincial Optician license or certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work with frames selection and prescription dispensing.

Job description

Join our team as a Licensed Optician, where you will dispense customers prescriptions alongside supporting our customers through the frame selection process. You will be responsible for:

• Conduct pre-testing activities.
• Assist with submitting third party benefit claims.
• Remake, adjust and repair frames.
• Follow up on outstanding customer orders.

About You

The Licensed Optician will be capable of delivering excellent patient experiences and a high standard of support to our Optometrists. Successful applicants will possess the following:

• An appropriate provincial Optician license or certification by a nationally or provincially recognized opticianry college
• Capable of confidently and effectively working with customers through the frame selection process.
• Strong and effective time management and organizational skills.
• Works with a sense of urgency and adaptability to any situation.
• Flexibility to work all hours including evenings and weekends.
