Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright to join our client's dynamic manufacturing facility in Woodstock, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic expertise, capable of working independently and within a team environment. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely repair, overhaul, install, replace and / or perform preventative maintenance on various types of equipment
  • Troubleshoot robotic welding cells, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, cylinders, conveyance systems, gear boxes and pumps
  • Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment.
  • Performing reactive troubleshooting and repairing production equipment on a daily basis, preventing or reducing unplanned equipment delays.
  • Must be able to work as a self-directed, motivated team member in a fully integrated Manufacturing environment.
  • Operate and inspect material handling equipment (such as overhead & mobile cranes); light mobile equipment (such as forklifts, pickup trucks);
  • Maintain or repair operating equipment;
  • Clearly communicate completed tasks by means of producing a daily log (verbal / written / computerized);
  • Evaluate and improve our processes for uptime and repeatability.
  • Evaluate downtime situations for root cause and suggest / implement improvements in conjunction with Maintenance Technicians.
  • Interact with the team members running the line to look for improvements or ideas to improve your / their job / task and improve line Safety, Quality and Productivity.
  • Preventative maintenance on equipment – identify weaknesses in design and implement improvements. Take pride in workmanship.
  • Monitor and participate in ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality and Productivity) are being achieved and if not assist in developing action plans to ensure success.
  • Ensure all key information is captured and exchanged at shift change to support the other shifts.
  • Capable of reading and following instruction manuals in detail, together with blueprints, drawings and sketches, to carry out the proper installation and set up of heavy or light equipment.
  • Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the O.H.S.A.
  • Follow and ensure the company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
  • Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to safety rules and regulations.
  • Work in compliance with the Safety Act and regulations [section 28 (1)(a)]
  • Maintains excellent 5S conditions.
Job Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum high school diploma / GED and 433A Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Red Seal
  • Maintenance Experience : 3 years (Required)
  • Licensed Millwright (433A)
  • Advanced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience
  • Sound judgment in decision making and establishing priorities.
  • Proactive and oriented to make improvements in systems and procedures.
  • Basic personal computer and corporate standard software skills (MS Word, Excel) are required.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license.

  • Rotating shifts, preference will be given to an applicant able to work a steady night shift (10pm - 6am)
