Automotive Service Technician Certification of Qualification (Class A)

Job description

North Bay Auto Group is currently seeking a Licensed Automotive Technician to join our expanding team. Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the technician will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with emission standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Complete work orders efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealer and manufacturer standards.
  2. Identify causes of defects and carry out approved repairs.
  3. Inspect vehicles to determine additional safety or maintenance needs.
  4. Communicate with the technical advisor regarding additional work, unnecessary repairs, or time constraints.
  5. Document all work performed on work orders.
  6. Conduct road tests on vehicles.
  7. Report defective or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
  8. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any incidents affecting vehicle appearance or condition.
  9. Keep the shop clean and organized.
  10. Maintain and responsibly store dealership tools and manuals.
  11. Report safety concerns to management promptly.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Automotive Service Technician Certification of Qualification (Class A).
  • Strong technical and mechanical repair skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class G) with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
