Job summary

Clutch Technologies Inc. is hiring a Licensed Automotive Service Technician in Mississauga to join our reconditioning team. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet high mechanical standards while documenting work and timelines.

A $3,000 signing bonus is paid after the 3-month probation period. We are seeking candidates with 310S Red Seal (or equivalent), experience across domestic, import, and European brands, and comfort with tools like Google Drive and Slack.

Qualifications

• Certified automotive technician with 310S Red Seal or equivalent.
• Experience servicing multiple brands (domestic, import, European).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
• Comfort with using Google Drive, Slack, and other shop tech.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized vehicle inspections (stationary and road tests).
• Diagnose issues and assess damage; recommend repair options.
• Execute repairs and preventive maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension).

About the role:

Clutch is looking for a Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team! A $3,000 signing bonus will be paid after the 3-month probationary period. We’re looking for all-star licensed automotive mechanic talent to help ensure that all of our vehicles are up to our high mechanical standards. Working alongside our reconditioning team, you will perform vehicle inspections, maintenance work, and repairs across a range of systems.

What you’ll do:

Perform Clutch standardized vehicle inspections (stationary and road tests)

Diagnose and assess vehicle issues and damage

Make recommendations about vehicle repairs and the best course of action

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance such as oil changes, suspension and brake jobs

Create and maintain documentation of repairs, inspections, and estimates

Ensure vehicles meet Clutch’s mechanical and safety standards

Communicate vehicle status, repair needs, and completion timelines

Use diagnostic tools and shop systems (e.g., Google Drive, Slack)

Contribute to continuous improvement of mechanical procedures

Metrics/measurement of success include inspection thoroughness, repair quality, safety compliance, turnaround time, and documentation accuracy

What we’re looking for:

310s Red Seal or equivalent certification or training

Experience working with a variety of car brands (domestic, import & European)

Strong attention to detail

Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands

Desire to learn new skills

Comfortable using technology (Google Drive, Slack, etc.)

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract

• Able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including overtime based on business needs.

Other items to note:

Communication, problem resolution/analysis, customer service orientation

Ability to work independently and with a team

Working conditions in a shop environment

It’d be great if you have:

Experience with advanced diagnostic tools

Previous work in reconditioning, dealership, or high-volume inspection environments

Wage: $34.00 - $39.00 per hour
