Job summary

A local automotive dealership in Ontario is looking for a Licensed Automotive Technician to join their team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and servicing vehicles to ensure safety and customer satisfaction. Candidates should hold a valid Automotive Service Technician Qualification (310S), possess strong mechanical skills, and have a valid Driver’s License. Dealership experience, especially GM training, is a plus. Competitive compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Valid Automotive Service Technician of Qualification (310S) is required.
  • Strong aptitude for technical and mechanical repairs is necessary.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class G) and clean driving record are essential.
  • Dealership experience, particularly GM trained, is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
  • Diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Conduct road tests and safety inspections.
  • Communicate repair procedures to Service Advisors.

As a key member of our team, the Licensed Automotive Technician brings to life the ultimate service experience. The Licensed Automotive Technician is responsible for working attentively in maintaining, repairing, and servicing customer vehicles to ensure safety and customer satisfaction as well as overall department success.

Job Duties

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
  • Diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform the repair.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisors.
  • Perform road test and safety inspections.
Successful Candidates Possess
  • Valid Automotive Service Technician of Qualification (310S)
  • Strong Aptitude of technical / mechanical repairs.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class G) and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a team and possesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
  • Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Maintain ODP Licence.
  • Dealership experience, specifically GM trained, considered an asset.
