Job summary

Airbus in Mirabel, Quebec, seeks a Liaison Engineering Professional to join the MAP team focused on non-conformance repair design for the A220 program. You will design and disposition repairs, analyze structures, and ensure design integrity across sub-assembly, final line and preflight areas.

You will work with cross-functional teams to interpret drawings, adhere to MRB/QA procedures, and drive continuous improvement in a high-pressure ramp-up environment. Bilingual English/French is required.

Qualifications

• University or college degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of MRB or airframe design experience in aerospace.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft structures and system installation requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a high-pressure ramp-up production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances to restore design integrity.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications; guide Methods and Production teams.
• Adhere to MRB and QA procedures; participate in audits per ISO, Transport Canada, NADCAP, Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with Systems, Stress, Materials & Processes, Propulsion and Logistics groups to meet objectives.

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Liaison Engineering Professional to join our MAP (mise au point) engineering evening team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

You will be part of the engineering team responsible for answering non-conformances in the pre-fal, final line and preflight areas of the A220 Aircraft.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as liaison engineering professional will be to design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances in a timely manner to restore design integrity of the A220 parts.

Your challenges:

• Design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances in a timely manner to restore design integrity in sub-assembly, final line and preflight areas of the A220 Aircraft;
• Rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength / stiffness of surrounding structure while in a production schedule-driven environment;
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications & provide guidance to Methods and Production employees;
• Adhere to the A220 Material Review Board (MRB) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures;
• Lead internal audits according to the ISO standards, Transport Canada, NADCAP and six sigma;
• Maintain a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in aircraft structures in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of company products;
• Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance;
• Work in close cooperation with other Engineering disciplines such as Systems, Stress, Materials & Processes, Propulsion, and Support Groups such as Logistics, Methods & Quality in order to achieve the company's business objectives.

Your boarding pass:

• You have a University or a College degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or in a related field;
• You have minimum five (5) years experience in Material Review Board (MRB) or airframe design in aerospace, an important asset;
• You have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft structures & system installation technical requirements;
• You have a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high-pressure and in a ramp-up production environment;
• You have practical working experience using V5;
• You are bilingual (English and French).
