Job summary

A technology company in Ottawa is looking for an IT Technician for a 12-month contract. Job description

Alteo is looking for an IT Technician for a 12-month contract based in Montreal (West Island).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level IT support to users (network connection, hardware, software).
  • Ensure smooth operation of multi-function copiers: resolve program installation problems, coordinate maintenance and repairs with the supplier, provide training to new users.
  • Install and configure IP telephones for new users. Resolve first-level problems, and if necessary contact the telephony supplier for more complex problems.
  • Manage access cards: prepare new access cards for new users, program building doors and monitor system operation. Coordinate supplier interventions for repairs or maintenance services.
  • Manage the key system: maintain the key inventory, have copies made as needed, and update the list of holders.
  • Manage reservations for meeting rooms, ensure programming of readers to give authorizations and ensure rooms are functional for users.
  • Ensure that the premises are maintained in good condition.
Profile:
  • DEC in computer science or equivalent
  • 2-3 years' experience in level 1 IT user support
  • Knowledge of computer network administration
