Job summary

Canada Post is hiring a Temporary - On-Call Letter Carrier in North Bay, ON. You will start in the depot, sort deliveries, then drive a Canada Post vehicle to deliver mail and parcels to customers on your route.

Qualifications

  • A valid Class5 or ClassG driver's license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
  • The physical ability to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • On-call availability.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French.

Responsibilities

  • Start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
  • Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
  • Deliver mail and packages on your route, by foot or vehicle.
  • Return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages.

Job Responsibilities

What will you do?

  • You’ll start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries

  • The ability to work in all types of weather
  • The availability to be on-call
  • The ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
