Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in Saint John, NB is seeking a guitar-focused Lessons Teacher to join our Lesson Centre as an independent contractor. You will deliver structured guitar lessons to students of various ages, following our curriculum and teaching methods.

Ideal candidates hold a music degree or diploma (or equivalent), have teaching experience across ages, and can work on weekdays, weeknights, and weekends at our NB location.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one: music degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
• Minimum RCM Grade 8 with Grade 2 Rudiments or equivalent.
• Professional equivalency accepted.
• Previous teaching experience with students of all ages required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guitar lessons at the Long & McQuade Lesson Centre.
• Follow standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum.
• Schedule lessons for weekdays, weeknights and weekends.

Job Requirements

• Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:

• a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments

• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required
