Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in Nanaimo is seeking a Lessons Teacher who will work as an independent contractor focusing on guitar. The position requires weekend availability and on-site teaching at 620A Comox Road, Nanaimo, BC.

Candidates should have formal music training (degree/diploma or equivalent) and proven teaching experience with all ages, using standard curricula and methods to deliver engaging lessons in guitar and related instruments.

Qualifications

• Must have a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College
• A minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments
• Professional equivalency
• Must have previous teaching experience with all ages of students
• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required
