Maintenance Project Coordinator

Salary Range: $74,350.08 - $92,937.60 per annum. Placement within the range is typically between the minimum and midpoint and based on qualifications and experience, subject matter expertise, and internal equity, with consideration for how the candidate is developing, meets, or exceeds the role’s requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Precinct Services department is seeking an organized, proactive, resourceful individual for the regular full-time position of Maintenance Project Coordinator.

Reporting to the Legislative Facility Services (LFS) Manager, the Maintenance Project Coordinator leads a variety of maintenance projects for the BC Legislative Precinct and its buildings. This role will define project objectives, oversee quality and direct project activities for the LFS team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in one or all of the following: coordinating construction projects, project administration, building maintenance, and operations experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience coordinating building maintenance or construction projects of up to $600,000 in value.
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and change management.
  • Valid BC driver’s license.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • Completion or working towards a Project Management Professional designation.
  • Experience using project management software.
  • Practical experience in construction/trades.
