Who You Are

You are an experienced litigation professional ready to take on a challenging role in a fast-paced environment. You thrive on managing complex disputes, working with external counsel, and delivering strategic legal solutions under pressure. You’re looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact managing high impact litigation and disputes while collaborating with both internal teams and external legal counsel to protect the company’s interests.

This position is based out of Dentalcorp's Toronto Support Centre located at 181 Bay St. Mondays to Thursdays, and Fridays are work from home. Reporting to the Director, Legal, you will be a key player in managing the company’s disputes, strategic growth, and operational excellence initiatives. This is a demanding role requiring exceptional case management skills and the ability to handle multiple complex matter simultaneously.

In this role, you will
  • Support the Director, Legal, and independently represent the company in disputes.
  • Draft letters, minutes of settlement, pleadings, motion materials, facta, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, services agreements, and policies.
  • Provide strategic litigation advice on ongoing and potential disputes, including case strategy development, risk assessment, and external counsel selection and management.
  • Oversee external counsel relationships, including matter budgeting, billing review, case strategy alignment, and performance evaluation to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal representation.
  • Provide advice on applicable labour and employment laws as well as the labour and employment aspects of transactions and privacy matters.
