With Visier’s continued growth, we are in need of a dynamic Legal Counsel who possesses business acumen, a passion for details, and comprehensive contract management experience to join the highly collaborative Legal team.

Reporting to the Vice President - Legal, you'll be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams throughout Visier with the goal of driving revenue growth, assisting in compliance and technology initiatives, and supporting Visier’s global expansion efforts.

This is a hybrid role, based in-office Tues - Thurs at our global HQ in Yaletown, with Mon & Fri flexible.

What you'll be doing...

• Negotiating, formulating, and executing growth-impacting deals of varying complexity, including with some of the largest customer and partner organizations around the world.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams, including Privacy, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance, to manage risk tolerance, compliance expectations, and set a pro-growth strategy with safeguards.
• Serving as an expert in Visier’s customer contract negotiations and expanding vendor and partner portfolio to optimize and accelerate growth.
• Supporting research and product expansion initiatives.
• Counseling on general corporate matters, including employment relations across Visier’s global workforce.

Assist in Visier’s global expansion efforts beyond its core North American operations.

What you'll bring to the table...

• Active member of the Law Society of British Columbia, with 4 to 7 years post-call experience.
• Experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer, with exposure to SaaS technology, cross-border transactions, technology M&A, or international privacy and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOC2) considered advantageous.
• Proven ability to drive and negotiate complex contracts to close, often as the sole negotiator.
• Organized, critical thinker with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple closings and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborative personality who builds relationships internally to solve issues and deliver results.

The base pay range for this position in Vancouver is $130k - $165k/year + bonus.

The compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills. Many positions are eligible for additional compensation (e.g., commissions, bonuses), which our Talent Acquisition team will discuss during the interview process.
