Job description

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join URW, as our Legal Counsel on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, where you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and safeguarding our operations. Our Nordic team oversees three shopping centres in Sweden and one in Denmark. As Legal Counsel, you’ll play a key role in supporting the organisation with expert legal guidance across a wide range of areas, including leasing, contracts, disputes, compliance, data protection, and construction. You’ll work closely with local teams and departments, while also collaborating internationally across other regions.

What you will be doing…
  • Draft and support negotiations of lease agreements and addendums
  • Manage lease termination procedures and related measures
  • Provide legal support to operational teams on business and commercial agreements, obligations, and policies
  • Handle corporate law matters, including drafting protocols and liaising with official authorities
  • Advise on data protection and GDPR compliance
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards across the organisation
  • Support development and construction projects with legal expertise
  • Conduct legal and risk analyses, recommending appropriate actions
  • Manage disputes, litigations, and rent tribunal procedures
  • Develop internal processes to ensure secure and efficient leasing practices
  • Deliver internal training sessions on legal topics
  • Oversee general administration and archiving
What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?
  • You have a degree in Master of Laws (LL.M.)
  • You have relevant work experience from a law firm or legal department
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you speak fluent Swedish and English
  • You are bold and curious by nature, and able to develop and implement innovative action plans.
  • You have strong problem‑solving skills, and you are confident in dealing with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
