Zusammenfassung

CAE, headquartered in Montreal, seeks an experienced legally trained professional to advise on, draft and negotiate sophisticated agreements across multiple sectors with a focus on technology. Based in Montreal, you will enable procurement deals while negotiating terms for CAE.

Required is 5-10 years of legal experience, bilingual (French/English), and strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. This role offers growth opportunities within a leading global training and simulation company.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in law or relevant equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years experience in a law firm or a corporation, including experience in the negotiation of licensing agreements, intellectual property, commercial transactions and drafting of commercial agreements.
• Flexible in contract negotiations and able to propose legal solutions that enable procurement and business teams to conclude agreements.
• Ability to draft and adapt contractual language creatively in response to business needs and requirements as communicated by stakeholders with limited contracting experience.
• Agile in the use of digital tools such as MS Office and SAP Ariba.
• Bilingual (French and English), both orally and in writing.

Aufgaben

• Draft and negotiate different types of contracts related to all CAE business units such as but not limited to Software as a Service (SAAS) agreement, license agreements, agreements for the acquisition of goods & services, memoranda of agreements, letters of intent and partnership agreements.
• Recommend legal and contractual risk-mitigation strategies addressing indemnification, liability, warranties and other commercial and business terms.
• Advise procurement teams and business units on contractual matters related to supply arrangements and joint collaborations, with a focus on intellectual property and technology licensing and related agreements.

Description

We are looking for an experienced and adaptable legally trained professional to advise on, draft and negotiate sophisticated agreements across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on technology. Based in Montreal, this role is a key player in enabling business deals with suppliers to proceed in a timely manner while advising and/or negotiating contractual terms for CAE.

Minimum Qualifications

• University degree in law or relevant equivalent experience
• Five to ten (5-10) years of experience working in a law firm or a corporation, including experience in the negotiation of licensing agreements, intellectual property, commercial transactions and drafting of commercial agreements.
• Flexible in contract negotiations and able to propose legal solutions that enable procurement and business teams to conclude agreements.
• Ability to draft and adapt contractual language creatively in response to business needs and requirements as communicated by stakeholders with limited contracting experience.
• Agile in the use of digital tools such as MS Office and SAP Ariba.
• Bilingual (French and English), both orally and in writing.
