Legal Assistant – Family Law (Calgary, AB)

REAL-R is looking for a Legal Assistant supporting a reputable small family law firm in Calgary. We are seeking a dedicated professional with 1 to 3 years’ experience in family law to provide compassionate, detail-oriented assistance to our clients and lawyers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and format legal correspondence, disclosure packages, affidavits, and court forms
  • Manage file organization, deadlines, and document tracking
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, courts, and counsel
  • Schedule meetings, court dates, mediations, and client appointments
  • Assist with billing, file management, and general office administrationProofread documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain confidentiality and a respectful workplace at all times
Required Skills and Experience
  • 1–3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in family law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion
  • Proven ability to manage stressful situations and support clients in distress
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines
