Legal Assistant - Corporate Commercial Permanent Toronto, Ontario

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparing, drafting and revising correspondence, various agreements and other documentation related to securities, mergers & acquisitions and corporate transactions.
  • Establishing effective filing and organization systems.
  • Preparing dockets and accounts for approval and managing pre-bills with strong proficiency in accounting and billing procedures.
  • Taking instructions, prioritizing incoming work, following through on assignments and managing ongoing tasks.
  • Communicating professionally and efficiently with clients, external contacts and internally throughout the firm.
  • Opening and closing files.
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities as required within the share and team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma from a recognized college preferred.
  • 8 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in a corporate environment, preferably with law firm experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and technical skills, with the ability to work on large complex agreements.
  • Highly organized, team player who can work under pressure, deal with changing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Expert Time and IManage.
