What you will do
  • Handle administrative tasks for Partners and teams as required, including booking travel, processing expenses, and paying invoices
  • Organize and schedule meetings, examinations, and related logistics (e.g. booking boardrooms, coordinating schedules, sending invitations)
  • Manage fax and mail communications, including sending, receiving, scanning, tracking, and distribution
  • Liaise with other teams and vendors to manage tasks, such as copying and printing jobs, including drafting instructions, accepting deliveries of completed work, and reviewing for quality assurance
  • Organize and maintain active files
  • Prepare, process, edit, and proofread a range of documents, including forms, correspondence, and presentations
  • Draft standard legal documents such as cover letters and affidavits of service
  • Prepare legal document packages and forms for court filings, client submissions, and trial
  • File and serve documents electronically
  • Diarize court and other deadlines
  • Send and receive documents to clients, courts, and counsel using secure file‑sharing platforms
  • Provide general office support and perform other duties to support the group as assigned
What you bring to the role
  • College Certificate or Diploma, or equivalent combination of experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
  • Experience in working with Federal and Ontario Courts is an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail, proofreading and accuracy in documentation preparation
  • A positive, enthusiastic team member who engages colleagues, partners and clients in a professional manner
  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment
