CLK Multifamily Management is seeking a customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our apartment community team in Ottawa. You will greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and guide applicants through the leasing process.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries via phone/email, preparing leases, and coordinating with management on market-ready units. Excellent communication and flexible weekend availability are required.

Formación

• Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work weekends and a flexible schedule.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with leasing software (Yardi, Entrata).
• Understanding of leasing laws and regulations.
• Strong marketing and sales skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current availability, pricing, and lease terms.
• Build strong relationships with residents to support retention and satisfaction.
• Support marketing efforts and participate in resident events.
• Ensure the leasing office and model units are clean and welcoming.
• Use property management software to manage leads, applications, and communications.
• Inspect available “market ready” units and communicate service needs to management.
• Describe lease terms including length, rates, and conditions/exclusions.
• Provide post-lease services such as drafting termination notices or initiating legal action for unpaid rent.
• Verify application information and references.
• Prepare lease agreements in accordance with state laws, company policies, and client specifications.
• Process background checks, proof of income, rental history, and reference letters.
• Update and maintain records in the property management system.
• Ensure prompt resolution of tenant maintenance complaints.
