We are seeking a dynamic and innovative learning professional to join the Business Transformation Office for Tax & Legal within our Ignition practice. The Learning Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging, user‑friendly learning experiences that enable individuals to confidently adopt and use digital tools. This role blends instructional design expertise with a strong understanding of technology to drive effective learning strategies and resources. Working closely with Product Delivery and our Learning & Development teams, the Learning Manager ensures training solutions align with strategic priorities and user needs.

What you will do
Learning Strategy Development
  • Lead the creation and implementation of a robust learning program to successfully introduce tax practitioners to new and existing digital tools. Design training frameworks that combine digital tools with practical applications in tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Ensure all training initiatives support digital tools adoption targets and are aligned with the overall Learning & Development strategy, industry trends, and practitioner needs.
  • Support change management activities by executing on the training strategy.
Creative Learning Solutions
  • Identify innovative and impactful ways to deliver training content, including gamification, role‑based simulations, e‑learning modules, interactive workshops, and hybrid learning techniques.
  • Incorporate storytelling and scenario‑building to create relatable situations for tax practitioners, emphasizing how digital tools solve real‑world challenges in tax compliance and advisory.
Digital Tool Integration
  • Partner with Product Delivery and subject matter experts to fully understand the digital tools and their functionality.
  • Translate tool functionalities into user‑friendly materials, ensuring easy comprehension and application.
Content Development
  • Create, curate, and customize training content, including guides, videos, tutorials, and case studies, targeted at practitioners at various levels of experience.
  • Introduce modular content delivery methods to allow for flexible, on‑demand learning pathways.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Tax Learning & Development team, Tax practice leaders, technical advisory teams, and tool development teams to ensure alignment of training objectives with the needs of the practice.
  • Solicit feedback from practitioners and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
  • Monitor practitioner progress and engagement with training programs using relevant tools and data analytics.
  • Regularly evaluate training effectiveness using key performance indicators, such as adoption rates, user feedback, knowledge retention, and real‑world application.
What you bring to the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Tax, Education, Instructional Design or Technology) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in learning design or digital enablement roles, ideally within a professional or technology‑driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and how this can be applied to the use of digital tools.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms, tools, and instructional design software.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage diverse stakeholder groups, resolving challenges with tact and professionalism.
  • Experience with industry‑leading Tax tools (iFirm TaxPrep, Tax research tools, DataSnipper, Alteryx) is an asset.
