POSITION OVERVIEW: Lean Agile Coach

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS: Lean Agile Coach - Remote

How You’ll Help Us:

As an Agile Coach, you will work with Client Delivery Teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and the NTT DATA Business Agility Enablement team to assist with the ongoing deployment of Agile practices across clients. You will primarily serve at the team level but will also inform and interact at all organizational levels to foster partnership and create buy-in for change.

You will act as a change agent, promoting continuous learning and improvement, experimenting, and challenging the status quo. You will work directly with teams to listen, observe, empathize, and co-create value mindsets and lean product delivery. The Agile Coach will convey agility fundamentals through training, mentoring, modeling, and facilitation, providing relevant documentation on practices, tools, and techniques. This role is vital to maximizing value delivery to our businesses and customers.

Once You Are Here, You Will:
  • Connect with our BAE practice during onboarding as your support network.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships and guide key stakeholders through their Lean-Agile transformation.
  • Depending on customer needs, establish Lean-Agile Centers of Enablement, inform practice standards, and instruct practices for customer success.
  • Utilize industry best practices tailored to the customer context.
  • Engage in coaching planning at Portfolio, Program, and Team levels.
  • Manage and mentor teams of teams, possibly across distributed locations.
  • Perform roles such as mentor, modeler, and role-player for various agile team roles, including Scrum Master, Business Analyst, QA, Product Owner, etc.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience across the full development lifecycle with leadership responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience partnering with stakeholders on Lean-Agile adoptions.
  • 5+ years of experience understanding and communicating the need for change and guiding complex problem solutions.
  • 5+ years of competency in agile fundamentals, including values, principles, practices, and their application.
  • Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
