A leading mining company in Canada is seeking an Underground Mine Technician Leader to supervise the Underground Mine Technician Team. The candidate will ensure safety protocols, provide coaching and training, and manage the workforce effectively. A college degree in Mine Engineering/Technology and at least 3 years of underground mining experience are required. The position offers a unique schedule of 14 days on-site followed by 14 days off to rest and travel.

Reporting to the Underground Engineering Supervisor, the Underground Mine Technician Leader is the primary supervisor of the Underground Mine Technician Team within the Engineering department. They will lead the Mine Technician team to prioritize, delegate, and execute various tasks requested by different stakeholders across the mine. The Underground Mine Technician Leader acts as a mentor and ensures adequate service quality for clients. The leader must also allocate time for field work to assist the team and conduct work quality assurance audits. They will ensure that departmental goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d’Or, Quebec
