MISTRAS SERVICES IS LOOKING FOR LEAD TECHNICIANS IN WIND BLADE COMPOSITE REPAIR

The Lead Technicians In Wind Blade Composite Repairmust use his skills and training to ensure that work is carried out safely and in accordance with the Company's high quality standards.

  • SALARY CONDITIONS (40h minimum guaranteed per week depending on the type of site, overtime, per diem, competitive salary)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES
  • Perform internal and external repairs in non-structural and structural areas of the blade, including repairs to the leading and trailing edges, repairs to the UD-glass layers, replacement of balsa/foam core, and repairs to the shear web.
  • Perform vacuum consolidation on composite repairs.
  • Perform leading and trailing edge repairs, including damage from erosion, cracks, or openings.
  • Perform repairs on bond lines that hold fiberglass components together.
  • Follow strict work procedures
  • Communicate daily with supervisors
  • Write repair and inspection reports daily
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in composite blade repairs. (Cat 4-5)
  • Available to travel throughout Quebec and Canada (work in rotation, ex. 5 weeks on / 1 week off)
  • Work permit in Canada mandatory
  • Must be rigorous and organized
  • Possess a Class 5 driver's license or equivalent
  • Willingness to learn and improve
  • Team spirit and initiative
  • Good physical condition and must be able to lift regularly up to 30 lbs
  • IRATA3 certification an asset (contact us to register for one of our IRATA training courses)
  • Other assets: ASP Construction, experience working on a Kaeufer platform, PDQ/Rescue Tractel training.
