Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned finance professional to tackle complex questions and bring clarity to ambiguity across the business. You will build driver-based financial models and connect performance to the consolidated picture, driving forecasting and strategic decisions.

Leverage SQL and BI tools to validate data, improving short- and long-term planning. You will partner with business teams and present the recommendations to senior leadership for informed action.

Qualifications

• Strong financial modelling skills, including driver-based models and three-statement analysis.
• Experience working directly with data, including SQL and a BI platform.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights for finance and non-finance audiences.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to bring structure to ambiguous or unowned problems


• Strong financial modelling skills, including building driver-based models and three-statement analysis from the ground up


• Experience working directly with data, including SQL or an equivalent querying tool and a BI platform


• Strong business curiosity and ability to investigate business drivers


• Ability to challenge assumptions and numbers while building trusted relationships with business partners


• Strong communication skills, with ability to make complex analysis clear and actionable for finance and non-finance audiences


• Experience working in a complex business with multiple revenue streams or business models


• Availability to work within EST/EDT hours


• Legal eligibility to work in Canada is implied by the role's Canadian hiring location
