Job description

The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring two Lead Reliability Engineers (one in the Mechanical discipline and one in the Electrical discipline) on a permanent basis to work on-site in Regina, SK.

Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level and make a direct impact on the reliability and performance of assets at one of Canada’s largest oil refineries? This is a great opportunity to influence strategy, collaborate across departments, and help shape the future of our operations. If you’re passionate about driving continuous improvement and maximizing operational reliability, apply today!

What you’ll do:
  • Optimize performance of various assets in the refinery by establishing Asset Care Strategies (ACS), identifying preventative maintenance tactics, analyzing feedback on asset performance, and providing solutions for issues.
  • Investigate and leverage historical data, current practices, best practices, and OEM recommendations to improve our maintenance tactics, especially on highly complex problems or related to high‑risk assets.
  • Develop strong relationships with team members in the Maintenance and Operations departments to drive a deeper understanding of asset performance and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and monitor equipment reliability metrics.
  • Optimize care strategies for continuous improvement using various practices to gather data (e.g., PMO, RCA, etc.) and analyze that data to complete fitness for service analyses, make repair recommendations, or adjust ACSs accordingly.
  • Analyze and optimize department workflows, procedures, and processes to support a standard approach and accountability, participate in department strategic planning, and complete projects for maintenance and reliability initiatives, including support for maturing processes to more advanced asset management systems.
  • Exercise independent professional engineering judgement while working within broad guidelines and policies with minimal supervision.
Who you’ll work with:

You will work closely with other high‑performing Maintenance and Reliability Engineers on a team that focuses on problem solving and collaboration with teams across the refinery. Part of this collaboration will include leading work groups and project teams in the pursuit of maintenance and reliability excellence.

Why it matters:

We fuel Western Canada. Our Refinery strives to be a recognized leader in safety, reliability and sustainability within the petroleum‑refining industry.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and:

  • Have 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in an industrial setting.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline and a Professional Engineer designation (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are familiar with RCFA, RCM methodology and maintenance management programs such as PEMAC MMP, SMRP, or CMRP.
What we offer:
  • Competitive salaries, short‑term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer‑contributed pension plan.
  • Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
  • As a co‑operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs.

As this position is considered a position of trust and safety sensitive, you may be required to complete a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test and a criminal record check in accordance with CRC policies.
