Qualifications

  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification required.
  • Must have valid H2S, First Aid, AWP, Fallpro, CSTS, and CSO certificates.
  • Experience in QAQC and construction within Oil and Gas projects is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Review bid packages to ensure quality and specification compliance.
  • Create QA/QC turnovers to guarantee quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with estimators on scope changes based on IFC documents.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and code specifications for installations.
  • Maintain updated As-built drawings during the project.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote company culture and provide guidance to junior staff.
  • Offer technical recommendations for design and installations.

Job description

CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.

  • Role: QA/QC Lead
  • Location: Projects in AB and BC
  • Shift: Varies
  • Overtime: As needed
  • Pre-Employment Condition: Pre-employment D&A test required
Responsibilities
  • Review bid packages, RFIs, drawings, changes, and contracts to ensure project completion aligns with client specifications.
  • Create and review turnover packages, including QA/QC turnovers, to ensure quality delivery to clients.
  • Collaborate with estimators to identify scope changes in IFC documents from original IFB drawings.
  • Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to assist in electrical installations and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and update As-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial, local regulations, and safety procedures as per the CDN Controls Health & Safety Manual.
  • Act as a role model by promoting company culture, safety, and core values, and supporting Apprentices and Journeymen.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations for proper operations, design, and electrical installations.
Job Requirements
  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician
  • Valid H2S, First Aid, AWP, Fallpro, CSTS, and CSO certificates.
  • QAQC and construction experience, especially in E&I projects within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Proficient in Office programs and Bluebeam software.
  • Experienced in testing and documenting electrical equipment like MCCs, EHT, transformers, cables, and motors.
