Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our customers.
- Ensure daily communication with leader.
- Respond to service calls in a timely and effective manner.
- Plan, install, and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls – including piping systems that transport water, waste, gases, and hot liquids.
- Size, install, test, adjust, and service natural gas and propane equipment ranging from residential furnaces to industrial boilers.
- Maintain and repair existing plumbing.
- Train and mentor an apprentice plumber.
- Work with the plumbing administrator to ensure proper tracking of time, parts, and materials used.
- Dispatch plumbers for site mechanical calls and coordinate all PM mechanical inspections and deficiencies with leader.
- Follow up with mechanical contractors and operational calls, and communicate updates to area coordinators and regional directors.
- Assist with any mechanical follow‑ups that are needed and work with the capital/schedulers team for any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to the operational and capital budget, and occasionally train site staff on our mechanical rooms.
- Complete all required administration for the position.
Experience And Educational Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Certificate/Red Seal endorsed as a Plumber and Gasfitter (B).
- Three years residential/commercial experience.
- Hydronic heating experience.
- Cross‑connection certified.
Technical Requirements
- Working knowledge of English (verbal and written).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Computer skills an asset.
- Familiarity with computer tablets an asset.
