Position Title: Lead - People & Culture Advisory
Reports To: Director, People & Culture
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: 5 days on/2 days off, Monday to Friday
Location: 1 Dermot Baldwin Way SE, Calgary, Alberta

What You'll Do
Every role at the DI makes a difference. In this position, you will:
- Inspire, mentor, and develop the People & Culture Advisory team, creating a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous learning, and exceptional service delivery.
- Provides leadership for complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance concerns, ensuring fair, consistent, and values-based outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement of People & Culture programs, processes, systems, and annual cycles by identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness, consistency, compliance, and employee experience.
- Oversee key People & Culture operations and projects, including, HRIS initiatives, workforce data insights, policy development, and process improvement initiatives.
- Champion a positive and coaching-oriented workplace culture by promoting agency values, supporting leadership development, leveraging people analytics, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen engagement, growth, and culture.
- Develop people leaders through coaching, consultation, and practical guidance that strengthens leadership effectiveness and promotes a culture of accountability, trust, and service.

What we need from you
- A diploma or degreein human resources, psychology or related field isrequired; a combinationof education and/or work experience will be considered
- CPHRcandidate,designation or relevant designation ispreferred
- 7+ years of progressive People & Culture/Human Resources experience with a focus on employee relations, leadership coaching, and building leader capability.
- Advanced knowledge of employment legislation, workplace investigations, performance management, and employee relations practices
- Excellent communicator and relationship-builder who understands that service excellence is delivered by employees who are both engaged and empowered
- A demonstrateddesire for continuous learning and developmentwith a growth mindset
- Ability to be flexible, take initiative, exercise goodjudgementand apply discretion whiledemonstratinga high levelof confidentiality in all matters
- Capacity to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
Nice to Have's
- Formal workplace investigation training from a recognized institution or professional body is considered an asset
- 1-2 years of team leadership preferred
- Aptitude for utilizing workforce data to generate meaningful insights and make recommendations for continuous improvement
