Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager in Canada to lead multidisciplinary engineering execution for large mining projects across the complete EPC/EPCM lifecycle. Based in Toronto or Montréal within WSP's ERI sector, the role requires guiding field teams, coordinating with discipline leaders and clients to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

The position emphasizes technical depth, disciplined delivery, and strong leadership to drive project success and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in a Canadian province or territory.
15 years of mining engineering experience with leadership in concentrators/mills.
Experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering work across EPC/EPCM lifecycle.
Ability to integrate input, risk, and client priorities for decisions.
Proven ability to set execution plans, schedules, staffing and budgets.
Experience improving quality systems and document control.

Responsibilities

Lead preparation, review, coordination, and QC of technical docs for complex mining projects.
Drive engineering strategy: deliverables, schedules, resource forecasting, staffing alignment.
Manage budgets, productivity, progress, and performance; identify trends and take action.
Improve work processes, tools, and capture continuous-improvement ideas.
Collaborate with Client Engineering Manager, discipline leads and field teams for coordination.
Champion WSP's Quality Management System and HSE policies.
