Placements24 seeks a Lead Makeup Artist and Special Effects Designer for a dynamic film and theatre production company near Kimberley. You will lead the makeup team, design beauty, character, and period makeup, and create complex prosthetics and creature effects for diverse projects.

You will manage the makeup department budget and materials, collaborate with directors and production designers, ensure hygiene and safety, and mentor a skilled team with extensive experience.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showing makeup artistry and special effects work.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional makeup experience for film/TV/theatre.
• Proven ability to design and execute complex special effects and prosthetics.
• Experience in leading and managing a makeup team.
• Knowledge of makeup products, materials, and techniques for film and stage.
• Excellent communication and artistic storytelling skills.

You will lead a makeup team, manage the makeup department's budget and resources, and collaborate closely with directors and production designers to achieve the visual goals.
