Job summary

Lifetouch, part of the Shutterfly family, seeks a training specialist to lead production-cell task training in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will implement standard work practices and teach new and current employees across multiple job duties.

You will coach teammates, update standard work, assist leadership, operate print area machinery, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvements in a collaborative team environment. Strong safety and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Alphanumeric & 10-key keyboard experience
• Experience with production processes & software
• Experience applying continuous improvement tools and techniques

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary trainer for all job functions within production work cells.
• Train employees (new and current) according to standard work and adapt to learning styles.
• Provide machine operator 1’s with training updates when necessary
• Update Standard Work instructions and ensure they are followed
• Assist the Production Lead and take on lead responsibilities in their absence
• Perform pre-operating tasks, operate, and maintain print area machinery
• Inspect final product for quality defects and accuracy
• Use problem solving and standard work to meet quality and productivity standards
• Maintain production quality by monitoring output and troubleshooting
• Identify, recommend and implement process improvements
• Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety rules
• Performs other projects or duties as requested
