Overview
The Lead HVAC Installer will oversee and manage residential and commercial installation projects, mentor crew members, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HVAC installation teams
- Install systems including furnaces, air conditioners, ductless splits, and heat pumps
- Ensure projects meet deadlines without compromising safety or quality
- Communicate effectively with management, clients, and team members
- Train and mentor crew on best practices, safety, and customer service
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues
- Maintain accurate records of installations and materials
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- TSSA G2 Gas Technician License and 313D Refrigeration License
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.)
- WHMIS, Safety Awareness (Step 4 or 5), Working at Heights certifications
- Ability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check and driver’s abstract
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, wiring diagrams, and HVAC equipment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Assets
- Experience with boilers and hydronic heating systems
- Standard First Aid ‘C’ with CPR & AED
- ODP Certification
- Familiarity with Housecall Pro software
- Experience purchasing materials
- Knowledge of Carrier systems and installation standards
- Basic computer proficiency
