Lead Dispatcher Coquitlam BC

GFL Environmental is looking for a Lead Dispatcher to join our team in Coquitlam BC!

As a Lead Dispatcher youll play a key role in ensuring efficient daily operations by coordinating driver schedules addressing on-route issues and supporting the dispatch team. Youll act as the main point of contact between drivers operations and customer service - making sure routes run smoothly service issues are resolved promptly and the team stays on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch operations and route assignments
• Support guide and coach dispatch staff to meet service goals
• Respond to customer and service issues in real time
• Work with routing specialists to improve route efficiency
• Monitor driver check-ins and ensure accurate documentation
• Lead daily safety tailgate meetings
• Coordinate with operations customer service and maintenance
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and data entry
• Assist in planning daily driver coverage based on service needs

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in dispatch logistics or transportation (lead or supervisory experience is an asset)
• Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook Excel Word)
• TRUX experience is an asset or willingness to learn
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed
• Knowledge of routing and scheduling best practices
