Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant III to support dental providers and lead clinic coordination. The role includes staff training, patient flow management, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.

The position requires a formal Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience, Washington DOH registration, and strong leadership and communication skills. BLS CPR and TB testing are required within set timelines, with English/Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Registration with Washington State DOH is required.
• Completion of formal Dental Assistant program or 3+ years experience.
• Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience (or 3+ years without formal training).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• BLS CPR within 90 days of hire; TB testing annually.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across a full range of dental procedures.
• Lead and support back-office staff training, scheduling, and workflow.
• Oversee patient flow, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure excellent customer service.
• Maintain sterilization, OSHA compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage supply inventory, ordering, and emergency kit logs.
• Support insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and patient treatment planning.
• Assist supervisors with policy implementation, performance monitoring, and quality improvement.
