About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Concept Artist to guide the artistic direction and visual development for their exciting new game projects in East London . You will be responsible for establishing the overall look and feel of characters, environments, and props, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual style. This role requires exceptional artistic talent, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to inspire and direct a team of concept artists. Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall visual style and art direction for game projects, collaborating with directors and other leads.
• Lead and mentor a team of concept artists, providing constructive feedback, technical guidance, and artistic direction.
• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key story moments.
• Develop style guides and mood boards to communicate the visual intent to the wider art and development teams.
• Oversee the creation of asset callouts and detailed descriptions to ensure clear communication for 3D modelers and other asset creators.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies in 2D and 3D art creation, advocating for innovative approaches.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in concept art for games or film, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a wide range of artistic skills, including character design, environmental art, and strong composition .
• Proficiency in industry-standard digital painting software such as Photoshop, Procreate, or similar.
• Experience with 3D software (e.g., ZBrush, Blender, Maya) for concept development is a strong plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills .
• Ability to effectively guide and inspire a team while managing project timelines.
