Fix Auto Sherwood North in Sherwood Park, Alberta seeks a Journeyperson Automotive Technician to lead our shop’s technical efforts. You will perform mechanical repairs, wheel alignments, ADAS calibrations, and glass work while supporting body technicians and mentoring apprentices.

As a member of Fix Auto’s production team, the Lead Automotive Technician plays a key role in the delivery of high quality product and superior service.
We are looking for an experienced Journeyperson Automotive Technician who wants to become the go-to technical expert in our shop and be an integral part of our shop’s growth.
This is not your typical technician position. We are looking for someone who enjoys variety, solving problems, learning new skills, and being involved in different areas of the automotive repair process.
As the Lead Automotive Technician, you will play an important role in supporting our body repair operation and helping us expand our in-house capabilities. Your day-to-day work will include a combination of mechanical repairs, wheel alignments, ADAS calibrations, automotive glass, diagnostics, quality control, and technical support.
You will also have the opportunity to develop specialized skills and become highly proficient in areas outside of traditional mechanical repair.
Completion of technical training in a related field
Journeyman Certificate
WHMIS Certificate
Minimum of 3 years working as an automotive technician in a manufacturing setting, or a related field
Experience working with a high performing, collaborative team
Ability to work independently
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and read and interpret blueprints
Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 25 pounds
