OVERVIEW

The Lead Application Developer drives enterprise‑wide technology solutions and spearheads transformative initiatives that shape the future of the organization. This role combines strategic vision with hands‑on leadership, guiding the design and implementation of robust application architectures. As a mentor and technical leader, the Lead Application Developer empowers team members by expanding their expertise and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence across all aspects of solution architecture.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
  • Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Oversee application architecture and ensure alignment with security and compliance standards.
  • Identify improvement opportunities, escalates key issues/risks to the Manager, and proposes solutions.
  • Maintain architecture service quality at the Product and Service Level within the specialty domain.
  • Act as primary point of contact between the development team and other partners, ensuring clear communication of project status, issues, and requirements.
  • Serve as first point of contact for team members' escalation and support.
  • Support the Manager in overseeing day‑to‑day operational activities of team members.
  • May act as back‑up in absence of the Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and 5 years of Senior Developer experience.
  • Leadership experience coaching and mentoring team members and overseeing day‑to‑day operational activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team mentorship and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines and champion process improvements.
  • Strong experience with .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Azure.
  • Experience with security by design approaches and application security testing tools.
  • Strong experience performing the entire agile software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of .NET and Windows applications.
  • In‑depth experience with Transact SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access via ADO.NET and ODBC.
