Wealthsimple Inc. in Canada is seeking a Lead Advisor on our Wealth Management team to serve high net worth clients ($2MM+) with a salaried, non-commission structure.

You will develop comprehensive financial plans, craft tailored investment proposals, and proactively service client accounts across calls, video, and in‑person meetings. The role requires CFP/IQFP, CIM/CFA, and 8+ years in wealth management, with bilingual English/French a significant asset and a client-first mindset.

Qualifications

• CFP or IQFP designation required; CIM or CFA designation required.
• Additional designations (FEA, TEP, CPA, etc.) are a significant asset.
• 8+ years in wealth management or advisory with HNW/UHNW clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding experiences for new clients and transition to Wealthsimple.
• Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to client goals.
• Create custom investment proposals aligned with objectives and risk tolerance.
• Proactively service client accounts and anticipate needs.
• Maintain regular communication via phone, video, and in-person meetings.

The Role

As a Lead Advisor on our Wealth Management team, you'll provide comprehensive support to our high net worth clients ($2MM+) throughout their journey with us. Unlike traditional wealth management roles, this position is fully salaried with no commission structure or sales targets. Your performance will be evaluated on a balanced scorecard focused entirely on delivering world-class client experiences.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Provide exceptional onboarding experiences for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to Wealthsimple
• Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client's unique situation and goals
• Create custom investment proposals that align with clients' financial objectives and risk tolerance
• Proactively service client accounts, anticipating needs before they arise
• Maintain regular communication with clients through phone, video, and in-person meetings
• Apply your financial expertise to complex client situations involving corporations, trusts, and estates
• Contribute your insights to improve our service offering and client experience

What you’ll bring:

• CFP or IQFP designation required
• CIM or CFA designation required
• Additional designations including FEA, TEP, CPA, etc are a significant asset
• 8+ years of experience in wealth management or financial advisory roles, specifically working with HNW/UHNW clients
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional client service
• Strong financial planning and investment management knowledge
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Client-first mentality in all aspects of your work
• Passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals
• Technology-minded with the ability to leverage digital tools to enhance client experience
• Bilingual (English/French) capability is a significant asset
