Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a Family Lawyer to join its established Family Law practice in a hybrid work arrangement.

The role emphasizes managing files from intake to resolution, providing strategic advice, and drafting a wide range of legal documents while maintaining excellent client relations. The ideal candidate holds Ontario Law Society membership, has 3+ years in family law, and brings strong advocacy, negotiation, and research skills.

Qualifications

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • 3+ years of family law experience.
  • Experience with mediation, negotiation, and litigation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage family law files from intake through resolution.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and representation on family law matters.
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, financial statements, settlement proposals, domestic contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend mediations, conferences, motions, trials, and other court appearances.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written legal opinions and submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a highly reputable full-service law firm, is seeking a Family Lawyer to join its established Family Law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to further develop their practice while working alongside experienced practitioners in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage family law files from intake through resolution.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and representation to clients on a broad range of family law matters.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Ontario family law legislation, Family Law Rules, and court procedures.
  • Excellent advocacy, negotiation, legal research, and drafting skills.
  • Strong organizational and client management abilities.
  • Experience with mediation, negotiation, and litigation proceedings is considered an asset.
