Job summary

A law firm in Kitchener-Waterloo is seeking an experienced Litigation Law Clerk to join their team. This permanent role requires over five years of experience in litigation, preferably in construction or corporate commercial litigation. The firm offers an excellent compensation package with a salary ranging from CAD 65K to 80K based on experience and the opportunity to work with a close-knit team.

Job description

Our client, a law firm in Kitchener-Waterloo, is searching for an experienced Litigation Law Clerk to join their team in a permanent role!

We’re looking for five (5) or more years of experience as a litigation clerk, preferably in construction litigation, corporate commercial litigation or estate litigation!

With this knowledge and experience, you can hit the ground running and take on all tasks assigned!

Excellent compensation package including a nnual salary between 65-80K depending on experience as well as the opportunity to work with an experienced close-knit team!

Skill Requirements:
  • Five (5) plus years of Law Clerk experience specifically within Litigation
  • Experience with construction litigation, estate litigation, or corporate commercial litigation is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Adobe PDF, ACL, PC Law a MUST
  • Tech savvy with knowledge of Case Centre, Online Submission Portal, and all virtual platforms (ZOOM, Teams etc.)
  • Able to prioritize and redefine priorities when necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Produce a high quality and quantity of work – occasionally under tight timelines.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, highly organized and proactive.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to deal with a constant workload, while being able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
