Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum efficiency/economy of washing machines and dryers
• Assist in collection of used linen from the floors and sort to wash type
• Fold and stack linen
• Change chemical dispensers
• Launder blankets, bedspreads and other items
• Assist in other areas of the Housekeeping Department
• Handle soiled linen in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Assist in inventory control
• Notify any repairs/alterations required to linen, terry, bedding and drapes
• Ensure the security of stock and the working area

LAUNDRY ASSOCIATE

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oyster Bay, BC

The Laundry Associate will ensure professional sorting, laundering, stacking of all linen/toweling to achieve the standard of productivity and presentation required by hotel and company policy. This is a full-time position that requires availability to work weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Required

• 1-2 years of experience working in a similar role, previous hotel experience considered an asset
