This is an early-career opportunity in a fast-growing aerospace startup with hands-on testing on the shop floor.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering or related field; practical experience accepted.
• Solid grounding in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, including compressible and two-phase flow.
• Experience with fluid system modeling or simulation tools.
• Working knowledge of CFD for component-level flow analysis.
• Familiarity with propellant properties (LOX, RP-1, nitrogen).
• Comfortable with cryogenic fluid systems and safety practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work from first principles.
• Experience reading and generating P&IDs, schematics, and drawings.

Aufgaben

• Design and analyze propellant feed systems, including tanks, pressurization, valves, regulators, and manifolds.
• Perform fluid dynamics analysis (incompressible, compressible, two-phase, cavitation, water hammer, transient flow) using analytical methods and CFD.
• Size and select components; generate flow schematics (P&IDs) for engine and ground systems.
• Develop and maintain fluid system models (EcosimPro/ESPSS, Simulink, Flownex, Python/MATLAB) for steady-state and transient behavior.
• Support trades for propellant and pressurant selection and system-level mass/performance.
• Collaborate with Structures, Propulsion and Avionics to ensure integration with tanks and manifolds.
• Define instrumentation and test requirements for hot-fire and cold-flow testing; assist planning and data analysis.
• Root-cause analysis of testing anomalies and propose fixes.
• Generate technical documentation: analyses, reviews, requirements and verification plans.
• Support hardware fabrication, assembly, and leak/flow testing of components.
