Job summary

Yard Essentials in Saskatoon, SK invites applications for a Landscape Worker who is self-motivated with good interpersonal skills. Selected candidates will start as soon as possible. This permanent, full-time role offers 30 to 40 hours per week with shifts 08:00 to 16:00.

Responsibilities include landscape construction, lawn care, plant watering, and reporting daily progress. You must own English fluency, work outdoors, and handle physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English.
  • No standard education requirements.
  • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience.
  • Dependable and reliable.

  • Willing to work long hours outdoors.
  • Able to work in wet/damp, dusty and hot conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with landscape construction.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
  • Cut grass.
  • Remove garbage and litter.
  • Write daily basic progress reports.
  • Water and maintain plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.

Yard Essentials based in Saskatoon, SK is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Landscape worker who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills.   • The candidate must assist with landscape construction.
  • The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.

  • The candidate should work in the landscape maintenance division, which is the art and profession of keeping a landscape healthy, clean, safe, and attractive, usually in a garden, yard, park, institutional setting, or estate.
Equipment and machinery experience
  • The candidate must have prior experience operating a pick-up truck, small engine equipment, and a weed trimmer/edger.
Transportation/travel information
  • The candidate must have their own transportation.
  • The candidate will be provided with a vehicle supplied by the employer.
  • The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
Work conditions and physical capabilities
  • The candidate must finished the work with in the given time line.
  • The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
  • The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
  • The candidate must perform manual dexterity tasks.
