Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient Land Surveyor for an established Kimberley practice. The role covers cadastral and engineering surveying for property demarcation, infrastructure development, and construction projects in the region.

You will employ Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, and LiDAR scanners to deliver accurate plans and reports while ensuring compliance with legal standards. A Bachelors or ND in Surveying/Geomatics and SAGC PLS registration with at least 5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Surveying or Geomatics.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) registration with SAGC.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in cadastral and engineering surveying.
• Proficiency with modern surveying instruments and processing software such as Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of property law and land registration processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cadastral surveys for boundary determination, subdivisions, and consolidations according to legal requirements.
• Perform engineering surveys for infrastructure projects, including setting out, monitoring, and as-built surveys.
• Utilize Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and LiDAR scanners for accurate data acquisition.
• Process and analyze survey data using specialized software to produce plans, reports, and digital models.
• Ensure all survey work complies with the Land Survey Act and relevant professional standards.
